The Louis Armstrong House Museum preserves the home of legendary trumpeter Louis Armstrong and his wife Lucille from 1943 until their deaths in 1971 and 1983 respectively. Unlike many artist homes transformed into memorial displays, the house remains largely as it was during the Armstrongs’ occupancy, offering visitors a remarkably intimate glimpse into their daily lives.
