Birdland Marina is a relatively recent addition to the New York City jazz landscape, opening in 2023 as an extension of the historic Birdland Jazz Club. Located on West 44th Street in Manhattan's Theater District, it provides a more intimate and waterside setting compared to the main club. The space aims to recreate the atmosphere of the original Birdland, famed for hosting legendary jazz musicians from the 1940s through the 1960s – including Charlie Parker, Miles Davis and John Coltrane – while offering a modern performance environment. It features both indoor and outdoor seating with views of the Hudson River, specifically designed for acoustic performances.
