Shuttle Street is a historically industrial area within Paisley, Renfrewshire. Originally developed in the late 19th and early 20th centuries to support the town’s thriving textile industry, it housed numerous mills and warehouses. Following the decline of textile manufacturing in the latter half of the 20th century, the area underwent a period of disuse. More recently, Shuttle Street has been subject to redevelopment efforts focused on creative industries and arts spaces; several warehouse units have been repurposed as artist studios and small performance venues. It retains much of its original architectural character, including red sandstone buildings and cobbled streets.
