He is known for a dynamic stage presence and technical proficiency that challenges conventional perceptions of the mandolin’s capabilities.
Kirche St. Maximin in Trier, Germany, is a significant example of High Gothic architecture. Originally constructed as a Dominican church beginning in 1212, it stands on the site of an earlier Roman basilica built over the tomb of St. Maximin, one of Trier’s patron saints. The church underwent substantial alterations in the 19th century under the direction of architect Heinrich Wiethase, resulting in a Neo-Gothic restoration which significantly reshaped its interior and exterior appearance. Notably, it features a prominent westwork façade and houses notable medieval sculptures and stained glass. The church's acoustics are considered favorable for chamber music performances due to its size and architectural design. It remains an active parish church within the Diocese of Trier.
