Austra, the Toronto-based musical project led by Katie Stelmanis, will perform at Kalnų Parkas in Vilnius, Lithuania on August 8, 2026. Austra’s music is generally described as darkwave, blending elements of synth-pop, gothic influences, and operatic vocals. Often incorporating themes of mythology and personal narrative, their sound features layered synthesizers, driving percussion, and Stelmanis’ distinctive vocal range. The project has released several albums to critical acclaim, establishing a dedicated international following.

Kalnų Parkas (Hill Park) is a prominent green space located in the centre of Vilnius. Established in 1958 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the Republic of Two Nations' victory over Muscovy at the Battle of Orsha, it was originally designed as a park celebrating Soviet achievements. The park’s landscape is characterized by rolling hills – artificial formations created using earth excavated during the construction of residential buildings nearby – and winding pathways. Following Lithuania’s independence, the park underwent renovations to remove Soviet-era monuments and refocus its design towards representing Lithuanian history and identity.
