Anouar Brahem will perform at the Barbican Conservatory in London on November 15, 2026. Brahem is a Tunisian oud player and composer internationally recognised for his distinctive approach to jazz, blending Arabic classical music with elements of jazz improvisation and contemporary classical forms. The Barbican Conservatory is a unique public garden located within the Barbican Estate, a Grade II listed architectural complex built between 1965 and 1976 in the City of London. It houses a vast collection of exotic plants from around the world – over 1,500 species – creating a tropical microclimate within its glass structure. Originally designed as part of the estate’s residential amenities to provide residents with access to nature, it opened to the public in 2014 following a restoration project led by landscape architects Todd Longstaffe-Gowan. The Conservatory's acoustics are naturally reverberant due to its glass construction, offering an unusual setting for musical performances that encourages intimate experiences.
