Angélique Kidjo will perform at Muziekgebouw Frits Philips Eindhoven on March 11, 2027. Kidjo is a Beninese singer-songwriter known for her diverse musical style, which blends West African traditions – particularly those of the Fon people – with elements of American R&B, funk, jazz, and pop. Her work often incorporates multiple languages, including Fon, Yoruba, French, and English, and addresses themes of social justice and Pan-Africanism. Throughout her career she has received numerous awards including five Grammy Awards.

Muziekgebouw Frits Philips Eindhoven opened in 2002 and is a prominent concert hall in the Netherlands dedicated to contemporary and new music. Designed by architect Frits van Dongen, the building’s acoustics are highly regarded and it hosts a wide range of performances encompassing classical, jazz, world music and electronic genres. The venue is specifically designed to facilitate experimentation with sound and technology. It’s part of a larger cultural complex including the Natlab which formerly housed Philips’ research laboratories; reflecting Eindhoven's history as a center for technological innovation.
