Angélique Kidjo will perform at Muziekgebouw Frits Philips Eindhoven on March 6, 2027. Kidjo is a Beninese singer-songwriter renowned for her diverse musical style, which blends West African traditions – particularly from her native Benin – with elements of American R&B, funk, jazz, and pop. Her work often incorporates multiple languages, including Fon, Yoruba, French, and English, and frequently addresses themes of social justice and women’s empowerment. Throughout her career she has released numerous critically acclaimed albums and collaborated with artists across genres.

Muziekgebouw Frits Philips Eindhoven opened in 2002 and is a prominent concert hall dedicated to contemporary and experimental music. Designed by architect Frits van Dongen, the building's acoustics are highly regarded and it hosts a wide range of performances including classical, jazz, world music, and electronic music. The venue is known for its flexible spaces; the main hall, the “Grote Zaal”, can be configured to suit different ensemble sizes and performance styles. It is part of a larger cultural complex that also includes the Natlab cinema and several other creative spaces.
