Amaro Freitas is a Brazilian pianist and composer whose work blends elements of Brazilian jazz, classical music, and electronic soundscapes. His compositions are characterized by intricate harmonies, dynamic improvisation, and a strong rhythmic foundation rooted in Northeastern Brazilian traditions like *baião* and *coco*. Freitas often explores themes of memory, ancestry, and the urban experience of Recife, his hometown. He has released several critically acclaimed albums including “Rasga Coração” and “Samba Trance”.
Saint James The Great is a historic Anglican church located in Piccadilly, central London. Originally built in 1672-74 by Sir Christopher Wren as part of his rebuilding programme following the Great Fire of London, it was significantly altered in the 1880s by J.T. Micklethwaite in a High Victorian Gothic style. The church is notable for its elaborate interior decoration featuring mosaics designed by Salviati of Venice and its prominent role as a centre for Anglo-Catholic worship. Throughout its history, Saint James The Great has also become known for hosting diverse cultural events including concerts, aiming to broaden access to its architectural and acoustic qualities beyond regular services.
