Altan is scheduled to perform at the Ok Theatre in Enterprise, United States on October 20, 2026. The group is internationally recognized as one of the most important and influential Irish traditional music ensembles. Their sound blends traditional arrangements with contemporary influences, featuring Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh’s distinctive fiddle playing and vocals alongside Dermot Byrne’s bouzouki and contributions from other skilled musicians. Altan’s repertoire encompasses both established Irish tunes and original compositions rooted in the tradition.

The Ok Theatre, located in downtown Enterprise, Alabama, originally opened in 1927 as a Vaudeville house and cinema. Throughout its history, it served as a central entertainment venue for the region, showcasing live performances and film screenings. Following a period of decline, the theatre underwent significant restoration efforts spearheaded by the Enterprise Cultural Arts Association. These renovations aimed to preserve its historic architecture while updating its facilities for modern use. The restored Ok Theatre reopened in 2018 and now functions as a multi-purpose performing arts center hosting concerts, theatrical productions, film festivals and community events. It maintains many of its original art deco features contributing to its unique atmosphere.
