Koko is a Grade II listed Art Deco theatre located in Camden Town, London. Originally opened as the Music Hall and Lyric Theatre in 1900, it underwent several name changes – including the Camden Theatre – before becoming known as Koko in 1977. Throughout its history, Koko has hosted a diverse range of performances, initially focusing on variety shows and later transitioning to become a prominent live music venue. The building features a distinctive dome and ornate interior detailing typical of the Edwardian era. A significant fire damaged the venue in January 2020; following extensive restoration work overseen by architects Stanton Williams, Koko reopened in May 2022 with upgraded facilities while preserving its historical character.
