The Academy of Ancient Music will perform at Milton Court, London on February 11, 2027. The Academy of Ancient Music is renowned for its historically informed performance practice, specializing in music of the 17th and 18th centuries. This involves utilizing instruments and performance techniques appropriate to the period in which the music was originally composed, aiming for an authentic realization of the composer’s intent. Their repertoire frequently includes works by composers such as Purcell, Handel, and Bach, often exploring lesser-known pieces alongside established masterpieces.

Milton Court is a concert hall located within the Barbican Centre complex in the City of London. Opened in 2003, it was designed by architects Allies and Morrison as a dedicated space for the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, though it also functions as a public concert venue. The hall is known for its excellent acoustics and flexible design, accommodating a range of ensemble sizes. It replaced a previous Milton Court built in 1957 which served similar educational and performance purposes. The current building's construction involved significant archaeological work due to its location within the historic Roman city walls of London.
