СОЮЗ-1 will be performing at The Deaf Institute in Manchester, United Kingdom on October 12, 2026. СОЮЗ-1 is a Russian post-punk band formed in Saint Petersburg in 2017. Their music blends elements of cold wave, synth-pop, and new wave, often characterized by driving basslines, atmospheric synthesizers, and introspective vocals – frequently sung in Russian. They have released several EPs and albums gaining recognition within the international post-punk revival scene.

The Deaf Institute is a multi-faceted venue located in the Deansgate area of Manchester city centre. Originally built in 1907 as a Conscientious Objectors’ Hall during World War I by the Methodist New Connexion, it served as a social and educational space for pacifists. Later functioning as a deaf social club – hence its name – until the early 2000s, it was subsequently renovated and reopened as a bar, restaurant and live music venue in 2011. The building retains many of its original architectural features including ornate stained glass windows and wood panelling.
