Yellow House Orchestra is a multi-instrumentalist project spearheaded by composer and producer, Jake Hull. Emerging from the vibrant indie scene of Grand Rapids, Michigan in 2016, the project quickly gained recognition for its intricately layered instrumental compositions. Hull’s background in film scoring heavily influences the orchestra’s sound – a blend of post-rock expansiveness, ambient textures, and neo-classical sensibilities.

Initially a solo endeavor, Yellow House Orchestra has evolved to incorporate collaborations with various musicians, enriching the sonic palette. They've released three full-length albums: *Slow Bloom* (2018), *Parallel Lines* (2020), and *Where We Were* (2023), all on Sleeper Records. *Parallel Lines* received critical acclaim for its evocative storytelling through instrumental music, garnering features on NPR Music and Bandcamp Daily.

Known for immersive live performances utilizing looping and effects pedals, Yellow House Orchestra has toured extensively across the US, sharing stages with artists like Hammock and Explosions in the Sky. Their music is frequently licensed for film & television, demonstrating its broad appeal and cinematic quality.
