Yasser Tejeda is a Dominican-American guitarist, composer, and producer rapidly gaining recognition for his innovative blend of traditional Dominican music – particularly *perico ripiao* and *merengue* – with elements of jazz, rock, and electronic music. Born in New York City and raised deeply connected to his Dominican heritage, Tejeda’s work aims to revitalize and reimagine these folkloric styles for contemporary audiences.

He began his professional career as a sideman for prominent Latin artists before launching his solo career with the 2016 album *El Color de Los Versos*. His breakthrough came with 2019’s *Rompe el Búho*, lauded for its intricate arrangements and energetic performances. This album earned him nominations at the Latin Grammy Awards for Best Latin Jazz Album.
