Ulrika Spacek are a British post-punk and art-rock band formed in London in 2015. Comprising Rhys Edwards, James Griffin, Joseph Thorneycroft, and Ollie Haines, the group gained recognition for their distinctive sound blending angular guitar work, driving rhythms, and subtly melancholic vocals. Initially self-releasing music, they signed to Tough Love Records in 2018.

Their debut album, *The Album*, released the same year, received critical acclaim for its minimalist aesthetic and evocative atmosphere, drawing comparisons to bands like Wire and early Television. Ulrika Spacek’s subsequent EP, *Modern Poetry*, further solidified their reputation for intelligent songwriting and precise musicianship.

In 2021, they released their second full-length album, *Modern Synthesis*, expanding on their established sound with more textural experimentation while retaining their core post-punk sensibilities. The album garnered positive reviews from publications like Pitchfork and The Guardian. Known for their captivating live performances – often characterized by intense energy and controlled dynamics – Ulrika Spacek continue to tour extensively throughout Europe and the UK, building a dedicated following within the independent music scene.
