TOAST CLUB is the musical project of Brooklyn-based artist Max Collins, formerly the drummer for the acclaimed indie rock band Parquet Courts. Launching in 2019 with the EP *King Size*, TOAST CLUB quickly established a distinct sound blending elements of post-punk, krautrock, and sophisticated pop. Collins writes, performs, and produces all aspects of the music himself.

The album was notably influenced by Collins' time working as a commercial voiceover artist, incorporating themes of advertising and consumerism.

He has toured extensively supporting artists like Dry Cleaning and Black Country, New Road, solidifying his presence within the contemporary post-punk scene.
