Experience The Sabres of Paradise

The Sabres of Paradise were a pioneering British electronic music group formed in 1993 by renowned producer Andrew Weatherall, alongside Jagz Kooner and Gary Burns. Known for their innovative fusion of techno, dub, and experimental electronica, the trio carved a distinctive niche within the 1990s UK electronic scene. Their sound is characterized by atmospheric textures, deep basslines, and intricate rhythms that blend dancefloor energy with avant-garde sensibilities.

The group released three critically acclaimed albums: *Sabresonic* (1993), *Sabresonic II* (1995), and *Haunted Dancehall* (1994), the latter often hailed as a seminal work in electronic music for its haunting melodies and genre-defying production. The Sabres of Paradise also operated their own label, Sabres of Paradise Records, which became influential in promoting forward-thinking electronic artists.

Andrew Weatherall’s production expertise was central to the group’s success, bringing a unique depth and sophistication to their tracks that influenced subsequent generations of producers. The Sabres of Paradise remain celebrated for pushing boundaries within electronic music, blending club culture with experimental sounds to create timeless works that continue to inspire DJs and producers worldwide.
