The Claudettes emerged from the Chicago blues scene in 2016, quickly gaining recognition for their unique blend of jump blues, rockabilly, and piano-driven energy. Fronted by vocalist and songwriter Berit Narvelson, whose striking stage presence and lyrical wit are central to their appeal, the band features guitarist/producer Mike Pernice, bassist Zach Fein, and drummer Daniel Leahy.

Initially formed as a backing band for Pernice’s solo work, The Claudettes evolved into a fully realized unit releasing their self-titled debut in 2018. Their sound is characterized by Narvelson’s powerful vocals layered over Pernice's distinctive guitar work and a tight, driving rhythm section. They've toured extensively across the US and Europe, sharing stages with artists like Pokey LaFarge and JD McPherson.

Albums *Dance Scandal* (2019) and *The Claudettes* (2021) further solidified their reputation, earning critical acclaim from publications like *American Blues Scene* and *Vintage Guitar*. Notably, “Windows Are Emotionproof” from *Dance Scandal* gained significant radio play on blues and Americana stations.
