Eliza Thorn (born Eliza James-Thorn in 1983) is a British singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist known for her atmospheric and emotionally resonant music. Initially gaining recognition as part of the electronic duo, Blue Roses, alongside producer/vocalist Dan Dodd, she released two critically acclaimed albums with the project – *Blue Roses* (2007) and *Elements* (2010) – blending dream pop, trip-hop, and electronica.
Following Blue Roses’ disbandment, Thorn embarked on a solo career, shifting towards a more folk-infused, ambient sound. Her debut solo album, *Nostalgia* (2014), showcased her delicate vocals and lyrical depth exploring themes of memory and loss. Subsequent releases include *Symphonies of Dust* (2017) and *Heavenly Objects* (2021), the latter receiving praise for its experimental arrangements incorporating field recordings and subtle electronic textures.
