Tennyson is a Canadian electronic music duo comprised of brothers Luke and Javier Tennyson. Emerging in 2015, they quickly gained recognition for their uniquely textured and emotionally resonant sound, blending elements of glitch, future bass, and IDM with classical piano influences – largely stemming from their extensive classical training. Self-taught in production, they initially released tracks on SoundCloud, attracting attention for their intricate sound design and melodic complexity.

Their breakthrough came with the EP *Lay-by* (2016), followed by the critically acclaimed album *Lovers* (2018) on Monstercat. This cemented their reputation for cinematic arrangements and deeply personal songwriting. Tennyson’s music often eschews traditional song structures, prioritizing atmosphere and evocative soundscapes.

They've toured extensively, including performances at prominent festivals like Coachella and Electric Forest, and have collaborated with artists like Madeon & Porter Robinson (as part of the virtual festival Secret Sky). In 2023, they released *UUU*, an album exploring themes of memory and loss through innovative sonic textures. Their work consistently receives praise for its originality and emotional depth within the electronic music landscape.
