Shishani is a Namibian-born, Botswana-raised, and currently Berlin-based singer-songwriter and guitarist rapidly gaining international recognition. Her musical journey began classically trained on piano before transitioning to guitar, heavily influenced by her father’s extensive record collection encompassing blues, jazz, and soul. Shishani’s style blends these influences with traditional Namibian sounds – particularly the *oshivambo* tradition – creating a unique Afro-blues soundscape.

She released her debut album *Namib Blues* in 2018, followed by *Vuma*, earning critical acclaim for its lyrical depth and captivating instrumentation. Shishani has toured extensively throughout Europe, performing at prominent festivals like Rudolstadt Festival (Germany) and Couleur Café (Belgium).

Notably, she was selected as a New Talent by German public broadcaster NDR in 2020 and won the Creole Publishing Prize in 2021. Beyond performance, Shishani is dedicated to fostering musical exchange; she founded the "Sisterhood of Guitars" workshop series empowering female musicians across Africa. Her music consistently addresses themes of identity, heritage, and social justice with soulful vocals and intricate guitar work.
