Originally focusing on traditional opera performance, earning a Master of Music in Voice from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, Clanton pivoted towards electronic soundscapes in 2017. Her work often incorporates glitch aesthetics, ambient textures, and elements of dark ambient, creating a uniquely haunting and ethereal sonic experience.

Clanton releases music under her own name and as the project "Sabled Sun," exploring themes of memory, technology, and the human condition. She’s released several EPs and albums including *Anima Mundi* (2019) and *Garden of Shadows* (2023), receiving praise from publications like *The Wire* and *Pitchfork*. Notably, she's been commissioned for scores for independent film and dance projects.
