Quinn Oulton is a Canadian multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer rapidly gaining recognition for his distinctive blend of ambient, post-rock, and electronic music. Initially known as a drummer touring with acts like Youth Mountain and Propagandhi (2018-2023), Oulton transitioned to a solo career in 2022 with the release of his critically acclaimed debut album, *I’m Fine*.
His sound is characterized by layered textures, atmospheric soundscapes, and emotionally resonant melodies – often built around intricate drum programming alongside piano, guitar, and synthesizers. Oulton’s work explores themes of anxiety, introspection, and resilience.
Following *I'm Fine*, he released the EP *Bloom* in 2023 to further praise. He has toured extensively across Canada and the US supporting artists like Blonde Redhead and Slowdive. Notably, *I’m Fine* was longlisted for the Polaris Music Prize in 2023, solidifying his position as a rising force in independent music. His production work extends to collaborations with other emerging artists within the Canadian indie scene. He is currently signed to Constellation Records.
