Plantoid is the electronic music project of Polish producer Adam Żołędziowski, active since 2008. Initially rooted in glitch and IDM, Plantoid’s sound has evolved to encompass a broader spectrum of experimental electronic music, frequently described as complex, detailed, and emotionally resonant. He gained significant recognition with his 2017 debut album *Particular*, released on Planet Mu, lauded for its intricate sound design and melancholic atmosphere.

Żołędziowski’s background in sound engineering heavily influences his production; he meticulously crafts each track, layering textures and utilizing field recordings. Subsequent releases include the *Void* EP (2018) and the critically acclaimed album *Large Format Terrain* (2021), also on Planet Mu, further solidifying his reputation for innovative soundscapes.

Plantoid's work often explores themes of memory, isolation, and the interplay between organic and synthetic sounds. He regularly performs live, incorporating custom-built hardware and visuals into his sets. He's been featured on Resident Advisor, Pitchfork, and XLR8R, establishing him as a prominent figure within contemporary electronic music.
