PET NEEDS are a British alternative rock band formed in 2017, hailing from Southend-on-Sea, Essex. Comprising Danny Wilkins (vocals/guitar), Jack Collings (guitar), George Messenger (bass), and Leo Duncan (drums), they quickly gained traction with their energetic live performances and distinctive sound. Their music blends elements of 90s grunge, post-punk revival, and melodic indie rock, often drawing comparisons to bands like Pixies and Superchunk.
The band independently released their debut EP *Partly Cloudy* in 2018, followed by *Fracture* in 2019. They signed with LAB Records in 2021, releasing their critically acclaimed debut album *Split*, which explored themes of anxiety and self-doubt. *Split* achieved success on independent charts and garnered support from BBC Radio 1 and Kerrang! Radio.
PET NEEDS continued momentum with the release of singles "Young," "Brittle," and "Catfood" leading up to their second studio album *Remain In Place* (2023). This album further refined their sound, showcasing Wilkins' raw vocal delivery and the band's tight instrumental interplay.
