Panta Rhei is the project of German multi-instrumentalist and composer, Jan Klemm. Emerging in the late 1990s, Panta Rhei initially gained recognition within the German progressive rock and neo-progressive scenes. Klemm composes, arranges, performs, and produces all music himself, resulting in a distinctly layered and intricate sound.

His style blends elements of progressive rock – reminiscent of early Genesis and King Crimson – with ambient textures, electronic soundscapes, and influences from classical music, particularly Baroque counterpoint. Recurring themes in his work explore philosophical concepts and nature.

To date, Panta Rhei has released ten studio albums, beginning with *Strand* (1998) and most recently *Resonanz* (2023). Albums like *Parallelwelt* (2006) and *Echosystem* (2014) are considered key works. He has cultivated a dedicated international fanbase through consistent releases and live performances featuring elaborate visual projections. Panta Rhei’s music is primarily released through the Musea Records label, a prominent name in progressive rock distribution.
