Experience Montreux
Montreux (born Demetri Knowles, February 22, 1994) is an American record producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist hailing from Atlanta, Georgia. He rose to prominence as a key collaborator with Travis Scott, co-producing significant portions of *Rodeo* (2015), *Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight* (2016), and notably *Astroworld* (2018), earning a Grammy Award nomination for Album of the Year for the latter.
His production style is characterized by atmospheric soundscapes, heavily layered synths, distorted 808s, and a penchant for incorporating unconventional samples – often drawing influence from psychedelic rock and ambient music. Beyond Scott, Montreux has worked with artists like Kanye West (on *Ye* & *Kids See Ghosts*), Playboi Carti, Frank Ocean, and Sheck Wes.
He’s also released solo instrumental projects under his own name, including *Lavender EP* (2017) and *Space Jam* (2019), showcasing his compositional abilities beyond hip-hop production.
