Experience Mark Fell
Mark Fell is a British electronic musician and producer, central to the development of post-rave and abstract electronic music since the early 1990s. Initially known for his work with Polygon Window, a project exploring the deconstruction of hardcore techno and jungle rhythms through granular synthesis and micro-editing, Fell established a distinct aesthetic focused on rhythmic complexity and sonic texture.
He co-founded the influential label Raster-Noton (now known as Raster) in 1996 alongside Olaf Bender (Byetone), releasing seminal works that pushed the boundaries of IDM and glitch. Fell’s solo work, including albums like *Ulrich Schnauss Remixed By Mark Fell* (2002) and *In Order* (2012), further refined this approach, often employing custom-built software to manipulate audio at a microscopic level.
More recently, he’s become renowned for his meticulously crafted, mathematically precise dance music, exemplified by his series of *Proscribed Formations* EPs (2018-2023) on PAN. Fell’s work has been exhibited internationally as sound installations and performances, cementing his position as a significant figure in contemporary electronic art.
