Maribou State is a British electronic music duo formed in 2011, consisting of Chris Davids and Liam Ivory. Hailing from Hertfordshire, England, the duo has gained widespread recognition for their unique blend of electronic and downtempo music, infused with elements of house, trip-hop, and soul.

Throughout their career, Maribou State has released several critically acclaimed albums and EPs. Their debut album, "Portraits," was released in 2015 and received high praise for its atmospheric soundscapes and intricate production. The album featured collaborations with notable artists such as Holly Walker and Jono McCleery. In 2018, they followed up with their sophomore album, "Kingdoms in Colour," which showcased their ability to seamlessly merge organic instrumentation with electronic beats.

Known for their captivating live performances, Maribou State has toured extensively around the world, gracing renowned stages at festivals like Glastonbury and Coachella. Their dynamic live shows incorporate live instruments alongside electronic elements, creating an immersive experience for audiences.

In addition to their own releases, Maribou State has also gained recognition through remixes for various artists including Lana Del Rey, Fatboy Slim, and Kelis. Their remix of Fatboy Slim's "Praise You" earned them a Grammy nomination for Best Remixed Recording in 2019.
