LJ Mounteney is a British multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer renowned for his intricate and emotionally resonant instrumental music. Initially gaining recognition as one half of the electronic duo Northumbria (with Ross Fairbairn), Mounteney transitioned to a solo career focusing on neo-classical, ambient, and post-rock soundscapes. His work frequently features piano, guitar, and subtle electronic textures, often evoking vast landscapes and introspective moods.

Mounteney has released several critically acclaimed albums, including *When You Look Upon A Star* (2018) and *Monument* (2023), the latter exploring themes of memory and place through field recordings and layered instrumentation. He’s collaborated with artists like Nils Frahm (remixing Frahm's "Says") and has licensed music for numerous film & television projects, including placements in series like *Normal People*.

Beyond album releases, Mounteney actively composes for dance – notably creating the score for Wayne McGregor’s *Autobiography* – demonstrating his versatility across different artistic mediums.
