Experience Lifeguard
Lifeguard is a British indie rock band formed in 2017, originally hailing from Ashford, Kent. Comprising frontman Jamie Sheelan (vocals/guitar), Jacob Bennett (guitar), Sam Bradley (bass), and Harry Twigg (drums), they quickly gained traction with their energetic live performances and emotionally resonant songwriting. Their sound blends elements of 90s alternative – drawing comparisons to bands like Jimmy Eat World and early Foo Fighters – with a distinctly modern, melodic sensibility.
The band self-released their debut EP, *Holding Patterns*, in 2018, followed by the critically acclaimed *Nightswimmer* EP in 2019 which garnered support from BBC Radio 1 and Clash Magazine. Lifeguard signed with LAB Records in 2022 and released their debut album, *A Weightless Moment," in October of that year. The album explored themes of anxiety, growth, and connection, receiving positive reviews from publications like NME and Kerrang!. They've supported acts like Pale Waves and The Japanese House on tour, further solidifying their presence within the UK indie scene.
