Larry McCray is a highly respected American blues guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter hailing from Saginaw, Michigan. Emerging in the 1980s, McCray initially gained recognition as a member of the band The DeLuxe Blues Band before launching a successful solo career in 1993 with his debut album, *Ambush*.

His style is deeply rooted in the tradition of blues masters like Albert King and Freddie King – evident in his fiery guitar playing characterized by stinging bends and powerful vibrato – yet infused with elements of rock and soul.
