Kyle Roussel is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer based in New Orleans, Louisiana, known for his distinctive blend of jazz, funk, electronic music, and hip-hop influences. Initially gaining recognition as a keyboardist with Galactic from 2007-2019, Roussel contributed significantly to their studio albums *From the Corner to the Block* (2010) and *Carnival Magic* (2013), touring extensively with the band internationally.

Beyond Galactic, Roussel leads his own project, KYLE ROUSSEL, releasing the critically acclaimed album *The Remedy* in 2018 which showcased his songwriting and production skills. He’s a prolific collaborator, working with artists like Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah, Robert Glasper Experiment (appearing on *Black Radio II*), and Trombone Shorty.

Roussel’s sound is characterized by intricate arrangements, soulful melodies, and a strong rhythmic foundation. He frequently incorporates live instrumentation with electronic elements creating a dynamic and improvisational feel. He continues to perform both as a solo artist and as a sought-after session musician/producer within the New Orleans music scene and beyond.
