Born on August 21, 1979, in Harlem, New York City, Kelis Rogers began her musical journey at a young age, attending the prestigious Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts.

Kelis burst onto the music scene with her debut album "Kaleidoscope" in 1999.
