Kasba is a French electronic music producer and DJ, born Nicolas Ruiz in 1992. Emerging in the mid-2010s, he quickly gained recognition for his distinctive blend of house, techno, and Arabic influences – a sound rooted in his Algerian heritage. Initially releasing on labels like Dold Vision and Church, Kasba’s productions are characterized by hypnotic rhythms, intricate percussion, and evocative melodic elements often incorporating traditional North African instrumentation and vocal samples.

His breakthrough came with tracks like "Baklava" (2017) and "Habibi Funk" (2018), achieving significant play on BBC Radio 1 and gaining support from prominent DJs including Disclosure and Jamie Jones. He's since released EPs on esteemed labels like Defected Records (“Looking For”) and Crosstown Rebels (“Midnight Mirage”), further solidifying his position within the global dance music scene.

Kasba frequently tours internationally, performing at festivals such as Tomorrowland and DGTL, known for his energetic sets that seamlessly weave together his original productions with carefully curated selections. He consistently receives praise for bridging cultural gaps through innovative electronic music.
