Johannes Lang is a German operatic tenor renowned for his interpretations of Mozart and Strauss roles. Born in 1969, he initially studied law before dedicating himself to vocal performance, training with notable instructors like Kurt Widmann. Lang’s international career blossomed in the late 1990s, quickly establishing him at leading opera houses including the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden; the Vienna State Opera; and the Metropolitan Opera.

He's particularly celebrated for his lyrical voice, technical precision, and dramatic sensitivity – qualities ideally suited to roles like Tamino (“The Magic Flute”), Don Ottavio (“Don Giovanni”), and Alfredo (“La Traviata”). Beyond Mozart, Lang excels in Richard Strauss, frequently performing roles such as Werther and Florestan (“Fidelio”).
