Imperial Teen is a Los Angeles-based indie pop band formed in 2014, comprised of Roddy Bottum (formerly of Faith No More), Lynn Perko (formerly of Here Come the Rentals), Paul Costabel (formerly of Stick Figure Theatre), and Will Loomis. The project began as a songwriting collaboration between Bottum and Perko, evolving into a full band showcasing layered instrumentation and distinctive vocal harmonies.
Their sound blends shimmering synths, driving basslines, and catchy melodies, often described as power-pop with new wave influences. Imperial Teen released their self-titled debut album in 2016 to critical acclaim, followed by *Cult Following* in 2018 and *Now We Shine* in 2021.
