Fran & Flora are a British electronic music duo comprised of Fran Lozano and Flora Birnbaum, known for their meticulously crafted, atmospheric soundscapes. Formed in London in 2013, they initially gained recognition through releases on influential independent labels like Ghostly International and PRAH Recordings. Their music blends elements of ambient, techno, and experimental electronica, often incorporating field recordings and textural sound design.

Prior to forming the duo, both Lozano and Birnbaum were established artists in their own right – Lozano as a DJ and producer, Birnbaum as a classically trained musician. This diverse background informs their collaborative process.

Fran & Flora’s debut album *Ritual* (2016) received critical acclaim for its hypnotic rhythms and immersive qualities. They followed this with *Brown Studies* (2019), further solidifying their reputation for innovative sound design and emotionally resonant compositions. The duo frequently perform live, utilizing both electronic instruments and modular synthesisers to create dynamic and captivating performances. They've toured extensively across Europe and North America, appearing at festivals like Unsound and Mutek.
