Deladap, the moniker of French musician David Darricarrère, emerged in the early 2000s crafting a unique blend of electronic music, often described as glitch, IDM, and microhouse. Initially gaining recognition through netlabel releases on artists like Rawkus and expanding to labels like Tigerbeat6 and Schematic Music, Deladap quickly established a signature sound characterized by intricately layered textures, fractured beats, and playful melodic elements.

His albums *Shelter* (2005) and *Wabi Sabi* (2007) were particularly influential in defining his style – a delicate balance between organic sounds and digital manipulation. Beyond album work, Deladap is known for extensive remixing projects, having reimagined tracks for artists including Boards of Canada and Pram.
