Plonk, the alias of Polish electronic music producer Łukasz Plonka, emerged in the mid-2010s crafting a distinctive blend of lo-fi house, vaporwave aesthetics, and jazz-infused samples. Initially gaining traction through uploads to platforms like Bandcamp and SoundCloud, Plonk quickly built a dedicated online following for his nostalgic, often melancholic soundscapes.

His music is characterized by heavily processed samples – frequently drawing from 1990s Japanese city pop, elevator music, and commercial jingles – layered over warm, subtly driving house beats. This creates a uniquely recognizable sonic texture often described as “future nostalgia.”

Plonk’s breakthrough came with releases on labels like Future Classic and his own PLK Records. Albums like *Klubfonik* (2018) and *Everything is Beautiful* (2023) received critical acclaim for their cohesive atmospheres and skillful sample manipulation. He's toured extensively across Europe and North America, performing both DJ sets and live shows incorporating hardware synthesizers. Beyond album work, Plonk has contributed remixes for artists like Parcels and Tourist, further solidifying his position within the contemporary electronic music scene.
