Dave Douglas is a highly acclaimed American jazz trumpeter, composer, and bandleader. Born in 1963 in Montclair, New Jersey, Dave Douglas began playing the trumpet at an early age. He studied at New England Conservatory of Music and later moved to New York City, where he quickly became an integral part of the vibrant jazz scene. In 1993, he formed his own record label, Greenleaf Music, allowing him complete artistic freedom to release his music.

Douglas's musical style is characterized by its versatility and eclecticism.
