Caravan Palace emerged from Paris in 2008, quickly gaining international recognition for their unique blend of electro swing. Founded by Hugo Lipez, the group initially began as a solo project before evolving into a five-member collective featuring vocalist Caroline Bonhomme, violinists Charles Dreyfus and Pierre-Antoine Glas, and bassist/trombonist Arnaud Denzler.
Their sound masterfully marries the energy of 1920s-30s swing and jazz with modern electronic dance music – house, electro, and downtempo – creating a vibrant and instantly recognizable aesthetic. Caravan Palace self-released their debut album *Caravan Palace* in 2010, achieving viral success through platforms like YouTube with tracks like "Jonzac."
Subsequent albums *Panic* (2012), *<binary data, 1 bytes><binary data, 1 bytes><binary data, 1 bytes>* (2015), and *Chronologic* (2019) further cemented their popularity, consistently charting in France and across Europe. They’ve toured extensively worldwide, performing at major festivals including Glastonbury, Coachella, and Lollapalooza.
