Bill Frisell is an acclaimed American guitarist, composer, and bandleader who has made significant contributions to the world of contemporary jazz and improvised music. Born on March 18, 1951, in Baltimore, Maryland, Frisell grew up in Denver, Colorado. Frisell's career took off in the early 1980s when he joined the renowned ECM Records label.
