Beatroot is the stage name of Iranian-born, UK-based musician and producer, Saeideh Mirsadri. Emerging in the mid-2010s, she quickly gained recognition for her unique blend of electronic music, incorporating elements of trip-hop, downtempo, and Persian classical influences. Her sound is characterized by atmospheric textures, haunting vocals (often multi-layered and processed), and intricate rhythmic structures.

Beatroot initially released music through independent labels like Innovative Leisure, gaining traction with EPs like *Fruit* (2016) and *Gully* (2017). Her debut album, *World of Wonders* (2019), received critical acclaim for its evocative soundscapes and exploration of themes surrounding displacement and identity.

She's collaborated with artists like Floating Points and has remixed tracks for Bonobo. Beatroot’s music has been featured in numerous publications including *The Guardian*, *Pitchfork*, and *Resident Advisor*. Beyond album work, she frequently performs live sets utilizing both electronic instruments and traditional Persian instruments like the tar, further emphasizing her cultural heritage within a modern musical context.
