Armin van Buuren is a Dutch DJ and record producer, consistently ranked among the world’s top DJs – holding the #1 spot in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs five times (2007-2012). Born in 1976, he began his career in the early 1990s, initially inspired by Paul van Dyk and Ferry Corsten.
Van Buuren is a central figure in the trance music scene, though his style has evolved to incorporate progressive house, uplifting trance, and even elements of deep house. He's renowned for his lengthy sets and radio show, *A State of Trance* (ASOT), broadcast globally since 2001, which serves as a platform for emerging and established artists.
His label, Armada Music (co-founded in 2003), is one of the largest independent electronic music labels globally. Key albums include *Shivers* (2005), *Imagine* (2008), and *This Is Me* (2013). He’s collaborated with artists like Above & Beyond and Gareth Emery.
