Apashe, born Antoine Dufresne in Montreal, Canada, is a record producer, DJ, and composer renowned for his cinematic and powerful blend of electronic dance music. Initially gaining recognition as part of the duo Deadmau5’s label, mau5trap, in 2012 with tracks like “Titan,” Apashe quickly established a signature sound.

His music masterfully fuses orchestral elements – often featuring live string arrangements – with aggressive bass music genres like dubstep, drum and bass, and trap. This distinctive style is showcased across albums like *Futuregold* (2016) and *Renaissance* (2022), the latter heavily influenced by classical composers and featuring collaborations with artists like Bizarrap and Wasiu.

Apashe’s compositions frequently incorporate samples from vintage film scores and dialogue, creating a dramatic and immersive listening experience. He's known for elaborate stage productions incorporating pyrotechnics and visual storytelling.
