Andre Feriante is a Brazilian-American composer, guitarist, and sound artist known for his innovative work blending classical guitar with electronic music and field recordings. Born in Rio de Janeiro, he moved to the United States to pursue formal musical training, earning degrees from Berklee College of Music and Yale University.

Feriante’s discography includes critically acclaimed albums like *Hearkening Shadows* (2012) and *All Things Perishable* (2017), often released on labels like Tzadik (John Zorn’s label) and New Amsterdam Records. His compositions frequently explore themes of memory, landscape, and the interplay between natural and artificial soundscapes.

He’s received commissions from notable ensembles including the Bang on a Can All-Stars, Kronos Quartet (for whom he arranged “Hymn” by Philip Glass), and the Calder Quartet. Feriante's work has been featured in publications such as *The New York Times* and *The Wire*, praised for its textural complexity and evocative atmosphere. He actively performs internationally as a soloist and collaborator, continually pushing boundaries within contemporary classical and experimental music. He also teaches composition at Wesleyan University.
