Experience Turner Park

Turner Park, located in Omaha’s Benson neighborhood, is a uniquely intimate outdoor music venue built within a former baseball diamond. Originally Benson Park, the space hosted amateur baseball leagues for decades beginning in the early 20th century. Reimagined as a concert venue in 2016 by local promoters, it retains much of its original ballpark character – including dugouts now used as artist staging areas and a charmingly retro scoreboard.

The park primarily hosts indie rock, alternative, folk, and Americana acts, becoming a key stop on national touring circuits while simultaneously showcasing regional talent. Its capacity is approximately 3,500, fostering a close connection between performers and audiences rarely found in larger arenas. Unlike traditional venues, Turner Park’s grassy seating and open-air design create a relaxed, festival-like atmosphere.

Notable performances have included shows by artists like Death Cab for Cutie, Shakey Graves, and Trampled by Turtles. The venue significantly boosted Benson’s already vibrant arts and entertainment scene and quickly became a beloved fixture in Omaha's summer music calendar. Food trucks and beverage vendors are typically present at events.
