Experience The Fillmore Silver Spring

The Fillmore Silver Spring, located in Maryland just outside Washington, D.C., is a renowned live music venue with a rich history rooted in the iconic Fillmore Auditorium legacy begun by Bill Graham. Originally opening as a department store in 1938, the building underwent a $12 million renovation to become a concert hall, debuting in 2011. Its art deco architecture is beautifully preserved, featuring original terrazzo floors and a grand staircase alongside modern sound and lighting systems.

With a capacity of approximately 2,000 standing or 1,400 seated, The Fillmore hosts diverse acts spanning rock, indie, hip-hop, electronic, and alternative genres. It’s known for its intimate atmosphere despite its size and excellent sightlines. Notably, the venue features several bars strategically placed throughout the space to minimize wait times.

The Fillmore Silver Spring quickly became a cornerstone of the regional music scene, attracting both established artists (like Bob Dylan, Smashing Pumpkins & Willie Nelson) and emerging talent. It's part of Live Nation’s network and consistently ranks among the top venues in the D.C.
